Meet the Founder
Jasmine Mitsue Grace, M.A., In Reverence

Hello

"It's a pleasure to introduce myself. My name is Jasmine Mitsue Grace, or Jasmine if you'd like.

No matter what one's religious background is, we are all spiritual beings having a human experience, and share a spiritual connection with one another. This connection goes far beyond our communities, extending deep within Mother Earth and out into the entire Universe!

My personal journey has been one of constant and continuous transformation. I receive so much enjoyment from the expansion of my consciousness and deepening of my awareness. It's been an arduous journey at times, but what keeps me willing and excited to grow is experiencing how each time a growth cycle levels out, I'm able to enjoy deeper levels of unconditional love, peace, and joy. It's well worth the discomfort of change often experienced in between the higher states. It's all part of the process of becoming more aware of one's shadow's and one's true essence, embracing it all...and, of letting go of the old, and opening up to the new!

Actually, learning to let go was not something I learned as a kid. I grew up in a Japanese-American community in Los Angeles, and so, both to my advantage and disadvantage, the cultural programming was very strong. Conformity was valued, individualism discouraged, keeping the status quo was mandatory, and feelings, needs, and desires needed to be suppressed. The suppression was intensified by things I didn't understand such as racism, women's oppression, my place as the middle child, ancestral programming, competition between siblings, and past life influences.

One of the things that helped me step up the exploration of who I am as a unique spiritual being, was training for a number of years with the Southern California Psychic Institute. In the beginning I was facing serious health challenges brought about by earlier traumas, cultural conditioning, bad mental habits, heavy emotional baggage, and other energy blockages weighing me down,

In my energy studies, I learned how to read auras and chakras, and began differentiating what energies in my energy field (auric field) were a part of my Life Force Divine Essence, and what wasn't. And the energy tools I acquired helped me begin releasing those energies getting in the way of a healthier lifestyle. The more I learned to use the various transformative meditation tools, the more I was able to discover my own truth in different situations.

Initially, the training was making such a difference in my life that I decided to go through their undergraduate, and then their graduate program. Upon graduation I was automatically ordained a minister through it's parent organization, the Church of the Rose. Late on I went on to complete their' teacher's program.

To add to my spiritual training, in 2013  I earned a master's degree in Spiritual Psychology with the University of Santa Monica. It was very experiential and we did deep inner work. All the while, I would serve for 17 years as an Adult Education instructor, instructing English as a Second Language to adult immigrants initially, but then branching out to teaching classes in yoga, tai chi, and qigong.

Besides the training I received for instructing yoga, tai chi and qigong, another healthy influence was the unconditional love emanating from the Agape International Spiritual Center, led by Reverend Michael Bernard Beckwith and Music Director Ricki Byars Beckwith.

In 2013, I was ready to start venturing out on my own and launched my own business called Harmony Qi. And for a few years I sold crystals, facilitated a spiritual growth workshop series called "Soul Line Discoveries", and with a partner, conducted several sound healing concerts, before moving solo to Oregon in 2017. In 2019 I began a new part-time business called Deep River Rising and began offering professional aura readings, while working as an independent contractor teaching yoga and qigong classes.

From 2020 to early 2023,  I devoted most of my time establishing and running a non-denominational church, called Spirit Heart Eugene, drawing together many musicians, healers, workshop facilitators, and volunteers from the community in various offerings for the public.

When it became clear that the organization was no longer in alignment with my soul's path and unsustainable from a financial standpoint, I initiated it's closure.

Just like many other experiences I've had in this lifetime, the time spent stewarding Spirit Heart Eugene was so rich in both personal and spiritual growth. The year following the closure (spring 2023-2024), I went into a period of deep solitude and soul searching. It was one of the most challenging, and simultaneously, rewarding periods of my life. I resumed my training with various psychic institutes steeped in the same tradition I had once studied in, journeying deeper into my inner landscape, and making some profound changes. I wasn't overcome by fear to go into the depths of my pain for release, nor to open to the love and the joy of my being.

In the larger context of all the growth, change, and transformation happening across this planet despite outward appearances and rampant cynicism exacerbated by mainstream media, I am able to see myself as a multi-dimensional being playing my part in the rising consciousness that is emerging right now on what many are calling, "the New Earth".

I am happy to say that I am deriving great fulfillment in serving as the founder, spiritual leader, steward, and instructor as Jasmine Grace of Shizen Sanctuary.

Peace & Blessings,

Jasmine Grace, In Reverence
